"Reweaving The Web"- Now winner of 3rd place in the Ashton Wylie Book Awards
Somewhere in history, we began to desire power that we might control those things we found inconvenient about living as part of a whole. We began to separate ourselves away from the Web of Life and to pretend we alone were alive and intelligent... and we lost our conscience! Now we find it hard to view even our neighbour as equal with ourselves and we place everything in a hierarchy with us at the top and the Earth at the very bottom. This has given us permission in our own minds to rape and destroy all that we place below us, and that changes according to the political sentiment at the time. The outcome is that we have placed everything in danger, and we are only now beginning to see the consequences of our actions. We still don't see that our actions are the consequences of our thinking and that our thinking is the consequence of our lack of feeling. Now its time to redress these omissions. We need to put ourselves back into the web of life, by taking ourselves off our hierarchical pedestal, beginning to embrace our neighbours, human, bird, plant and planet alike. Shamans can still show the way for they have survived in every race in some way or another. The wisdom still lives in our DNA, held there since the dawn of time. "Reweaving the Web-A Shamanic Journey of Connection" presents you with concepts that can begin to weave us back into the whole. It shares journeys that the reader can take to begin to walk the other pathways of the Web, and reconnect with 'all life'. In so doing, we revitalize our connection, reenergize our respect for life, and find new ways of honouring each other. When this occurs, the result is love, and we must begin to love again or we will never place the importance we must on the decisions that will save us all. Testimonials: ........................................................................................................................................................................................................... "Reweaving the Web" is a wonderful book, written with love. The inspirational wisdom within it's words occasionally challenged me, often fell on me like soft rain and constantly reminded me of what I already knew inside; that everything is connected. Everywhere, in all things there is wisdom from which I can learn. Every pebble I throw into the water will send out ripples that meet the most distant of shores. I am filled with a new appreciation of the immense amazing gift that is Life. I can feel myself becoming softer and stronger at the same time. Thank you Sparrowhawk. ........................................................................................................................................................................................................... "I started to read and haven't been able to put it down. I stopped myself at chapter five, just so that I wouldn't gobble it up too quickly, and savour the words. It reads as if you are sitting next to me talking to me. Already you have opened some new doors for me, and for that, my thanks." ........................................................................................................................................................................................................... This is a fascinating journey of spiritual discovery linking the past to the present and to the future, reviving old wisdom and making it relevant for today. There are so many of us on the same journey, who can take heart from someone else on the road living the difficulties of the journey and sharing her wisdom to help and support us on our journey. ........................................................................................................................................................................................................... Judges comments, Ashton Wylie Awards:"'Reweaving the Web' is a powerful book that describes ancient, and often hidden, shamanic practices, showing they are just as relevant today as they ever have been" ...................................................................................................................................................................
